Why We Called It The Yellow Notes

People ask us this often enough that it felt worth writing down properly.
Yellow, for us, was never just a brand colour. Before there was a business plan or a logo, there were literal yellow notebooks — the ones our founder filled as a child, in moments of joy, confusion, loneliness, and everything in between. Those pages were, in a very real sense, her yellow: the thing that gave comfort when nothing else quite could.
"Notes" felt right too, because that's really what all of this is — small, honest notes to yourself. Not polished essays, not performances for an audience. Just pages that hold whatever needs to be held that day.
When we say "let us be your yellow," we mean it plainly: we want The Yellow Notes to be the thing that gives you a little of what those childhood notebooks gave our founder — a safe, unglamorous, always-available place to come back to yourself.
That's the whole story, really. No elaborate branding exercise, just a colour and a habit that meant something, turned into something we could share.
